
Alfalfa is spring blooming herb with a beautiful dainty purple flower. Most people don’t realize this plants in the same family as peas. The actually have similar leaves!
It is quite nutritious and rich in calcium and supplies other micro minerals such as selenium, magnesium, boron, and more. It is often times used as a fertilizer for plants and lawn.
Most people know it as food for cattle but given its high nutrition, it is amazing for humans too.
Alfalfa is the cornerstone ingredient in Every Day Mojo Tea. The tea is chalk full of amazing nutrition along with alfalfa, dandelion and echinacea.
Years ago, I created this video for Green Talk, the Naked Botantical’s sister site, about growing alfalfa. Most people don’t grow it in a raised beds but in fields. I had two beds when I made this video.
